Welcome to the University of Nebraska at Kearney's Testing Site 5108. Our Testing Site 5108 offers a variety of Prometric tests.

Computer-Based Tests Include:
CLEP, CPA, DAT, DSST, FINRA, GRE, NBPTS, NEINS PRAXIS I (PPST), iBT TOEFL, MCAT, OAT and many other Prometric exams

To make an appointment, questions regarding cost, or cancel/reschedule the PRAXIS I Test you will need to register on the ETS website at ETS.org.

College-Level Examination Program

College Credit may me obtained by demonstrating proficiency selected subject areas by
successfully completing the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

FEES:

        - A fee of $77 is charged per test, payable to CLEP.

        - A fee of $25 is charged per test, payable to University of Nebraska at Kearney Testing Site.

        - The UNK Testing Site fee is non-refundable.

GENERAL INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Each test consists of multiple choice questions during a 90-minute period. There are two
types of CLEP tests Subject and General Examinations. The University at Kearney only recognizes
and accepts Subject Examinations.  

TEST RESULTS:

A score of at least 50 percentile must be earned to obtain college level credit at the University of Nebraska Kearney.
Unofficial results are available immediately. Official test results are mailed back to the student within two or three weeks.
Credit hours will be posted to the official transcript upon receipt of official scores and payment of transcript posting fees
to the Registrar's Office.

LIMITATIONS:

A CLEP Subject Examination may not be accepted for credit at the University of Nebraska
Kearney if the course:

        - Is a prerequisite for courses already completed.

        - Has a lower level of required proficiency.

        - Involves significantly similar content to course work previously taken.       

        - Has been successfully completed and passing grade awarded.

GRE Cancellation/Rescheduling: 

  • Candidates needing to cancel or reschedule must do so ten full business days before the first scheduled appointment date. Not including the day of the test or the day of the request. 

  • Candidates who cancel within the appropriate time limit and do not wish to reschedule may receive a partial refund.

  • Candidates who reschedule will be charged a  rescheduling fee.

  • Candidates who do not cancel or reschedule within the appropriate time will forfeit the entire registration fee.

Candidates may take the GRE exam once per Calendar month. Candidates cannot take the GRE exam more than five times within any 12-month period!

Internet Based Test of English Language

You currently have to register for the test directly through TOEFL at

(800) 468-6335 or on their website at: www.ets.org/toefl 

You can take the test once per test administration.

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

You have to contact and prepay through NBPTS. You will then get an “Authorization to Test” letter that you need in order to schedule the test through us.

LSAT:  Law School Admission Test

You have to sign up on line at www.lsac.org/, or directly through LSAT at (215) 968-1001

Registration Fee:  $132.00
Late Fee:               $66.00

ACT Residual Test:

We offer the ACT Residual test 2 times a year. You register directly through our center. The residual test means that the scores can only be sent to UNK, UNL, or UNO.

PRAXIS II Subject Assessment Paper/Pencil Tests:

You register online at www.ets.org/praxis or you can send in a registration form and payment to PRAXIS. There are national test dates already set up. UNK will be participating in the following administrations: November 2007; March 2008 and April 2008. Please watch the PRAXIS website for specific test dates and registration deadlines. Once the dates are posted you can start registering for your test. PRAXIS has indicated that they will be updating their website and will be ready for online registration  sometime between July 17th and July 31st. Fees vary depending on the test you are taking.

Click on "Sign In". Log in as a "Returning User" or "New User" (set up your log in account if necessary). Click on "Register for a PRAXIS Paper-Based Test" and follow the prompts.
