Dr. Christina Sogar is an assistant professor who joined the UNK Social Work department in 2013. Her research interests include child welfare, disability and family well-being. Dr. Sogar received her PhD in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Prior to beginning her graduate education, she served as a Volunteer in Service to America in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Sogar has worked in diverse social service settings, including schools, hospitals, churches, research centers and family support agencies.
