Makayla Hogenson - River Stories Media Festival- Kearney, NE

Makayla Hogenson recently completed an internship with the River Stories Media Festival.  As this event was the first of what the organizers hope becomes an annual event, Makayla was tasked in creating branding and promotional materials for the festival, which was held at Kearney’s World Theatre on March 29, 2018.  Makayla designed a logo for the festival, created and distributed posters, made an opening animation for the festival, and acted as emcee for the event.

Evan Jones - KRVN Radio - Lexington, NE

Evan Jones is interning at KRVN in Lexington where he will be doing play by play this winter for high school sports as well as writing sports blogs for the radio station and writing sports stories of the games that he covers. Evan will also do general board work at the station.

Courtney Lierman - Grand Island Chamber of Commerce - Grand Island, NE

Courtney Lierman is interning at The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce in Grand Island, Nebraska, where she works on marketing analysis, plan development, events promotion, press releases, as well as works on the web and social media pages for the Chamber.

Ivy Prater - National Rural Electric Cooperative Association - Arlington, VA

Ivy Prater is interning with the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Arlington, Virginia. She will work directly with the organization statewide, helping them implement grassroots initiatives while using Democracy Direct Software. Ivy will also help manage the five-start program for co-ops vote. She will work at the NRECA's annual Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. in the beginning of April.

Hannah Maupin & Ian D Kahler
Dept. of Communication, UNK - Kearney, NE

Hannah Maupin and Ian Kahler are interning at the Digital Expressions Media Camp for the Communication Department this summer. They will be handling branding and outreach materials for the 2019 camp as well as updating the website and social media pages. They will create TV and Radio promotions, letters to campers, and help organize and plan the annual camp with the assistance of Professor Jacob Rosdail.
