Information Technology Services is leading a project called the Future Ready Cloud Collaboration Workspace project that will change your TrueYou log-in credentials and for all Microsoft 365 (M365) accounts at UNK.
Faculty and staff M365 accounts start changing this week and batches of users will change four nights a week until April 24. All student M365 accounts will change April 25 and 26.
Weekend of April 25: All M365 apps, including Outlook email, will be unavailable for all UNK users as this project is finalized for UNK faculty, staff, and student accounts. Email will be held during this time and delivered once the cutover is complete.
When a user account changes, all Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint links will break and need to be reshared. As faculty accounts change, you may notice links not working in Canvas. Please let your instructor know if you notice this issue.
If you have Outlook calendar invites from UNK faculty or staff, as those accounts change the events they scheduled will cancel and be rescheduled (you will receive Outlook notifications twice).
You may also notice emails from UNK faculty and staff ending in “@nebraska.edu” instead of @unk.edu. This is a short term effect and temporary for the project duration. You can still email UNK faculty and staff at their regular @unk.edu email address(es).
Your email address will not change, but your log-in credentials for your email will change from your shortname@loper.unk.edu (Ex: louieloper@lopers.unk.edu to your NUID@nebraska.edu (87654321@nebraska.edu), your password will not change.
If you have questions about this project or need technical assistance, please call LoperTech at 308-865-8363 or email nusupport@nebraska.edu.
