Duties & Responsibilities

The campus tour is cited as one of the most important elements of a prospective student’s college search process. As a UNK Campus Visit Assistant [tour guide] you will be playing a key role in a prospective student’s decision to attend UNK.

As a Campus Visit Assistant, it is your responsibility to share your Loper pride by providing informative, positive and fun campus visit experiences to all guests. There are the traditional walking tours which include regular campus visits to prospective students and their families, school group visits, UNK recruitment events and special tours [Alumni, faculty interview candidates, etc.].

You must be a strong, friendly leader that can captivate an audience as well as possess effective public speaking and communication skills. It is important to be a strong storyteller who can positively represent UNK.

This is a paid position [$10/hr]. Candidates must be in good standing with the University of Nebraska at Kearney and have attended UNK for at least 2 semesters.

Training

  • Training will be held during the first two weeks of classes during the Spring 2021 semester.
    [Monday, January 25th-Friday, January 29th; Monday, February 1st-Friday, February 5th]
