Nadine Stuehm

Biography

Ms. Stuehm came to UNK in 1996 with a master in Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and a Bachelor of Social Work from Kearney State College. Prior to her employment at UNK, she served as a medical social worker at Good Samaritan Hospital (1985-1996), Social Service Director at Mother Hull Nursing Home (1982-1986), and continues to serve as a Social Work Consultant for Valley County Hospital in Ord, Nebraska. Ms. Stuehm serves on various committees and boards both on and off the UNK campus. She teaches the Human Behavior in the Social Environment I & II, Aging Services, Child Welfare, and the Field Placement Seminar. Ms. Stuehm is also the Field Placement Coordinator and works closely with community and state agencies to ensure the best field placement experience for graduating students. One of Ms. Stuehm's contributions to the program is grant training that she provides all graduating students in their Field Seminar. This training enhances the marketability of our graduates while benefiting human service agencies who are the recipients of external funds that support their mission.
