Bio

Janice T. Hill, MSW joined the UNK Social Work faculty in the spring of 2026. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and as Acting Program Director and faculty member for the Human Services program at Central Community College’s Hastings, Nebraska campus.

Ms. Hill earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a minor in Gerontology, and her Master of Clinical Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her graduate clinical studies focused on therapeutic work with individuals newly diagnosed with cancer and those at end of life.

Her community-based professional experience includes serving as a Regional Director for Visinet, Inc., working as a psychiatric social worker for Hastings Regional Center, practicing as a non-attorney representative in Social Security Disability cases for The Midland Group, and serving as Executive Director of Life Skills Training Center, an employment and day habilitation program for individuals with cognitive impairments and mental health challenges.
