Biography
Pat Philippi graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a BS in Athletic Training. She then pursued her MA in Recreation Management at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She was the Assistant Director of UNO Campus Recreation overseeing Aquatic and Fitness for 9 years. She has always had a passion for teaching so when a position opened up at UNK in 2015 she was able to make that transition to teaching. Pat is a member of Nebraska Recreation Parks Association (NeRPA) where she serves as the Student Representative for the Executive Board. She is also a member of National Intramural Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA) and Society of Health and Physical Educator (SHAPE).

Community Interests and Involvement
Pat is very involved in the Axtell community where she lives with her husband and 2 daughters, she volunteers as a volleyball coach, softball coach, coordinates the Axtell Swim Lessons, and trains Lifeguards for Axtell and surrounding community pools. Pat teaches fitness classes for the Holdrege Don Sjogren Community YMCA. She is also a National Registry Certified EMT and Nebraska State certified Firefighter and is currently serving as the Unit Captain for the Axtell Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.
