Biography

As a faculty member in Health and Physical Education, I aspire to develop education students into well-rounded educators who understand the value of standard-based education, are confident in their abilities, and serve as leaders in their communities. I am a proud two-time alumnus and previous student athlete at UNK, having been a member of the cross country and track teams from 2012-2016.

My research interests include physical activity during early childhood, particularly within childcare and school settings, physical activity of childcare providers and teachers, and development of inclusive physical activity environments and program strategies. I have expertise in qualitative and mixed methods research, physical activity measurement, as well as systematic review and meta-analysis.
