Teaching with AI Learning Community

The Teaching with AI Learning Community at UNK supports faculty and instructors in exploring how artificial intelligence can be used to enhance instruction, engage students, and streamline teaching practices. Through regular discussions, hands-on sessions, and collaborative projects, the community examines both the opportunities and ethical considerations of integrating AI into higher education. 

Purpose

The community is designed to:

  • Foster collaboration among staff to share AI best practices and learn from one another.
  • Explore practical applications of AI to improve workflows, communication, and resource management.
  • Build foundational and advanced AI skills to enhance job performance.
  • Support ethical and responsible use of AI in workplace processes. 

Meetings

  • Meeting Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Meeting Format: Hybrid (in-person at CMCT 101 and virtual via Zoom)
  • Session Length: 1 hour

Each session is designed to encourage interaction and exploration, with a mix of demonstrations, guided practice, and collaborative conversation.

Support and Resources

The Teaching with AI Learning Community is supported by the Loper AI Lab, the Office of Graduate Studies and Academic Innovation, and the Center for Teaching Excellence. Participants have access to a curated collection of teaching resources, toolkits, and templates designed to support the meaningful use of AI in higher education.
