The map below provides an outline of the University of Nebraska at Kearney service area. All counties listed in color are serviced by UNK. Any course requests for schools residing in counties outside of the service will require an Out of Service Area Request.
UNK currently services the following counties: Adams, Buffalo, Boone, Chase, Clay, Custer, Dawson, Dundy, Franklin, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Greeley, Hall, Hamilton, Harlan, Hayes, Hitchcock, Howard, Kearney, Keith, Lincoln, Merrick, Nance, Nuckolls, Perkins, Phelps, Platte, Polk, Red Willow, Sherman, Valley, and York.
If you are interested in working with UNK Dual Enrollment, but you are outside of the service area, it is still possible to become a part of the program through an Out of Service Area Request. After you meet the criteria for application, the UNK's Dual Enrollment Coordinator will submit an Out of Service Area Request on your behalf. This request must be reviewed and approved by the higher education institutions serving your area as well as the Coordinating Commission for Post Secondary Education.
