LPAC Officers

The 2013 LPAC Portrait 

The Loper Programming and Activities Council (LPAC) is the chief student programming body at the University of Nebraska - Kearney. Its leadership, comprised of 13 officers, provide oversight for general and specific areas and programs held by LPAC. Officers host a summer leadership seminar and attend executive board meetings throughout the academic school year. Elections for LPAC officers occur annually in April, below is the leadership team for the the 2013-2014 academic year. LPAC creates and models inclusive programs where students find opportunities for personal and professional growth and development. Above all, LPAC is to proud to have a rich tradition in encouraging, supporting, and fostering leadership amongst its members.
 

 



Abby Rosenbaum

President

 Abby Rosenbaum 

 

 

Abby is a senior Business Administration major with emphasis in Marketing from Sidney, NE. As President, Abby presides over weekly meetings and executive board meetings, oversees all programs and events of the organization, serves as the official representative of LPAC, has the power to call meetings and special meetings, tasked to work with the advisers and maintain the master calendar for the year and also work in conjunction with the Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President and other officers. Abby hopes to increase LPAC's general membership and keep existing members coming back to meetings. Finally, she would like to increase the organization's awareness in the community and get more community attendance at events.

Courtney Raike

Secretary-Treasurer

Courtney LPAC  




Courtney is a Social Work major from Omaha, Nebraska. As Secretary-Treasurer, her duties include management the operating budget for LPAC, updating the eligible members list frequently, and recording the minutes and proceedings at meetings. Courtney's aspirations for this position are to have less turn over of members in LPAC. This issue will be addressed by keeping in touch with members and updating them on what happened in the meetings.

Pierrie Jefferson

Director of Event Programming

 Pierrrie LPAC 





Pierrie is a senior from Lincoln, NE. He is pursing a degree in Family Studies with plans of continuing his education in High Education with a concentration in Student Affairs. As the Director of Event Programming Pierrie’s main focus is to plan, develop and oversee all contracted/main stage events and to provide a full evaluation after each event. Pierrie’s goal is to increase attends at events by 10% and to provide UNK’s student with premier programming.

Tyler Zoellner

Director of Performing Arts

Tyler is a sophomore Business Administration major, with a Marketing/Management minor from Ogallala, Nebraska. As Director of Performing Arts he, will strive to provide UNK students with top quality entertainment! This includes continuing the successful events such as Fame and Jim Wand and making sure they continue to be a great time. Finally, he hopes he has the opportunity of selecting a new and exciting special event for LPAC.

Riley Arnold

Riley is a Exercise Science/Pre-Occupational Therapy major and Health Science minor from Beaver Crossing, Nebraska. As Director of Mainstream Media, Riley is responsible for advertising events electronically (e.g. LPAC webpage, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). In addition, she hopes to promote LPAC events by using the source of communication our generation is comfortable with. In return, Riley aspires to get as many students as possible involved in LPAC events.

Ru is from Dong Ying city, Shan Dong Province, China. Currently, she is majoring in Journalism with a minor in English. As Director of Mainstream Media Photography, Ru has made it a priority to take more pictures of students at events in an effort to exhibit the fun and exciting dynamic atmosphere at all LPAC events. She also wants to increase the public relations presence of LPAC on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Brandi Lea McHarness is from Axtell, Nebraska; she is majoring in Elementary Education. As the Director of Holiday Programs, her duties include organizing the annual Gingerbread House, Pumpkin Carving, and Snowman competitions, holiday dinners, and any other activities to celebrate the holidays! Brandi's goals for this position include helping the students and faculty of UNK come together and have fun and celebrate the holidays.
