The purpose of the NEW Faculty Ambassador Program is to encourage faculty participation in Blue & Gold Welcome Weekend events. The vision for the program is to allow every new student to have at least one quality interaction with a faculty member in their first days on campus. While many faculty may have participated in or are aware of the Saturday academic college lunch put on by the Deans the weekend before classes start, there are three other events that the First Year Program office has identified as a great opportunity for faculty to meet our new first year students (Move-In, Friday Line Up & Saturday Breakfast). Participating faculty will receive a free t-shirt, free food, thank you letter for your service file and the gratitude of the new incoming class.
