The Basic Rider (BRC) provides classroom and actual motorcycle operator training in a controlled environment.
The Experienced Rider (ERC) is designed for anyone who is already confident on a motorcycle, and improve existing skills.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation certifies our Instructors/Rider-Coaches.
Training motorcycles are provided.
Smaller Classes - More Riding Time.
BRC (Basic Rider Course) - $225
BRC provides the rider with basic formal instruction. This weekend course is composed of approximately 5-hours of classroom and 10-hours of range instruction, with motorcycles provided. The course introduces and discusses the motorcycle environment, risk management, controls and operation, fundamental riding skills of shifting, braking, and cornering and expands them into more advance street riding techniques. Successful completion of the BRC waives the requirement to take the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) written examination and road test. It qualifies the student for the motorcycle Endorsement "M" on their operator's license.
BRC Class Schedule
BRC2 (Basic Rider Course 2) - $100
MUST be 19 years of age with a minimum of 1 year of riding experience.
BRC2 is designed for the rider who has experience with past or current motorcycle riding. During this 8-hour course the rider practices and demonstrates riding skill on his/her own motorcycle. It is an excellent skills refresher and enhancement course. Riders must provide their own motorcycles, proof of ownership and insurance. Successful completion of the BRC2/ERC waives the need to take the Nebraska DMV written examination and road test. The course qualifies the rider for the motorcycle Endorsement "M" on their operator's license.
BRC2/ERC Class Schedule
SBRC (Scooter Basic Rider Course) - $195 SBRC provides instruction for the beginning scooter rider or a rider who needs a refresher. It teaches the student about riding safely and managing risk. The course is nearly identical to the BRC course, with the exception of learning how to shift gears: since scooters do not require the operator to manually shift the transmission, shifting is not taught. The weekend course is approximately 15 hours of classroom and range instruction. Only scooters are allowed in the SBRC and the student will need to supply their own scooter, proof of ownership and insurance. Successful completion of the SBRC waives the need to take the Nebraska DMV written examination and road test. The student will qualify for the motorcycle scooter only Endorsement-Other MZ.
Scooter Class Schedule
ARC (Advanced Rider Course) - $100
MUST be 19 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of riding experience.
ARC provides rider development in the areas of risk management, decision-making, riding strategies, and rider behavior. This eight-hour course includes classroom and riding activities. Riders will learn and review several techniques, including basic control, quick stops, curve adjustments, cornering and swerving. Under the guidance of an experienced Rider Coach, riders will examine their thought processes and discover some of the reasons why we make the choices we do. Plus, this program allows you to explore your personal riding limitations and how to better utilize and understand your motorcycle’s design capabilities. This course originally was designed for sport bike and similar riders; however, we have found that all riders can benefit from this curriculum and leave with a greater understanding of their personal decision-making process, as well as their bike’s capabilities and limitations. The ARC is offered only to licensed riders with experience. Riders use their own motorcycles, which may be subject to a safety inspection, provide proof of ownership and insurance.

RRBRC – Returning Rider Basic Rider Course $100
RRBRC is a new 8-hour course combines elements of the BRC and BRC2. It is designed for riders who may have been riding with a permit or experienced riders with or without a motorcycle endorsement who are returning to riding after an extended absence. After a brief familiarization, riders MUST demonstrate sufficient skill in shifting (1st & 2nd gear), braking and stopping, and perform a control skills exercise (offset weaves with clutch control) with proficiency to be allowed to continue. Students unable to perform basic control skills will be counseled and advised to register for the Basic Rider Course for an additional fee. Motorcycles are provided for your use during the course. Must be 19 years of age. Successful completion of the BRC waives the requirement to take the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) written examination and road test and qualifies the student for the motorcycle Endorsement "M" on their operator's license.
Class dates are May 20, 2012 and June 17, 2012
