Welcome!

The U.S. economic climate of the past few years serves as a signal that U.S. citizens have a lack of understanding of basic economics.  Economics is not “the” dismal science, it is life.  Economics is the science of decision making.  Understanding of the discipline of economics is having a comprehension and recognition, however rudimentary, of choices and trade-offs.  Comprehending how decisions combine to create economic trends is crucial to understanding how economic decisions affect the quality of life.

The mission of the Center for Economic Education in the Department of Economics at the University of Nebraska Kearney is to promote high quality teaching of economics throughout the south central region of Nebraska.
