Jared Burgoon

Biography

Jared M. Burgoon’s professional construction experience ranges from startups to a publicly traded company and in roles that span from the trades to professional management. Prior to joining UNK, he taught at Colorado State University, where he completed his doctoral studies in Education and Human Resources Studies. His research primarily focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and workforce development; and has been published in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of Management in Engineering and The Professional Constructor. His work has been presented at multiple conferences, with topics ranging from Covid-19’s impact on the construction industry to gender equality gaps within university construction management degree programs. He serves as a Faculty Advisor for the student Construction Management Organization (CMO).
