The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Enactus organization will be hosting the fourteenth annual New Venture Adventure day for Nebraska high school students on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus. New Venture Adventure is a day for high school students to learn of both the hard work and excitement of being an entrepreneur.

The groups, which are made up of a random mixture of students from various schools, have the opportunity to solve problems for a hypothetical retail, service, or manufacturing business. Although the students are encouraged to work together and overcome any difficulties as a team, UNK college students will be with each group to help guide them. During the multiple phases of the day, these young entrepreneurs will meet with local professionals to request financial assistance and negotiate a lease. Students will gain experience creating everything from a mission statement to business cards for their hypothetical business. At the end of the day, they will present their business concept to a panel of judges, answer questions, and receive feedback from them. By the end of the day, each group will have a vast knowledge of and experience applying business concepts.

We invite you to be part of our adventure. We think your students would benefit greatly from attending this event and learning more about the exciting and intricate process of creating a business.

There is a registration fee of $15 per student to help cover the costs of the provided lunch and t-shirts.
