Enactus, formerly SIFE-Students in Free Enterprise, is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Guided by academic advisors and business experts, the student leaders of Enactus create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe. The experience not only transforms lives, it helps students develop the kind of talent and perspective that are essential to leadership in an ever-more complicated and challenging world.
The UNK Enactus Team has had great success empowering people in Nebraska as demonstrated by qualifying for National Competition nearly every year since 2003 (their first year at UNK). Take a look at some recent Annual Reports produced by the team that highlights their projects and the people impacted by those projects.

Participation in Enactus provides university students with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their communities, while gaining the experience, skills and contacts necessary to build a successful career. Enactus students are talented, hard-working, value-driven leaders that blend a competitive spirit and desire to succeed with a sense of integrity and desire to give something back. As a member of an Enactus team, you'll be joining a worldwide network of more than 57,000 other students who are each making their own contribution toward our shared mission of creating a better world. It's an experience that will change the lives of those in need and quite possibly, your own as well!
