The 2016-2017 Enactus Team is advancing to National Competition!

Their most recent Annual Report shows how they empowered over 2,000 people in need from Nebraska by applying their academic skills with an entrepreneurial approach. Over 400 universities/colleges have active Enactus teams, and our student-led projects were rated as one of the Top 60 in the nation by experienced business professionals at the recent National Expo composition in Cincinnati, OH. This was the first time in our school history that our Enactus/SIFE team has earned the National Quarter Finalist Runner Up trophy and $1,750 in total prize money. 17 students participated at National Competition, but the UNK Enactus programs has over 25 active members.

Do you have a project?

Enactus is an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through social entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.  Our team is always looking for opportunities to begin a new project and serve the community.  If you, your business, or organization have a project that you need help with, please fill out our survey by September 5, 2017.  Results will be reviewed by our Enactus team leaders and a response will be sent out with a conclusion on whether or not we can assist you with your project.

What is Enactus

Enactus, formerly SIFE-Students in Free Enterprise, is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Guided by academic advisors and business experts, the student leaders of Enactus create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe. The experience not only transforms lives, it helps students develop the kind of talent and perspective that are essential to leadership in an ever-more complicated and challenging world.

The UNK Enactus Team has had great success empowering people in Nebraska as demonstrated by qualifying for National Competition nearly every year since 2003 (their first year at UNK). Take a look at some recent Annual Reports produced by the team that highlights their projects and the people impacted by those projects.
