International Business Internship Program

The College of Business & Technology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney provides the opportunity for business students to obtain "hands-on" experience in their chosen fields through business internships. While internships are not new in education, in today's competitive job market, it is important for students to gain every advantage possible before embarking on a job search. One outstanding advantage has proven to be the internship. Internships link the classroom to the work place, allowing the student to test his/her abilities in a selected field. The cost of hiring a former intern is more cost effective than recruiting and training a new employee, so for some students, the internship will result in a job following graduation. For others, the practical knowledge gained in the internship experience will provide an advantage in the job market.

Internships:

A variety of domestic and international internship opportunities are available for UNK students - please see Janice Woods, Director of Experiential Learning in the College of Business & Technology.

Financial Assistance for International Travel Information:

NAFSA-the Association of International Educators offers a publication called NAFSA Financial Aid Resource for International Education.  This is a good resource for students and faculty advisors involved in a study abroad program.  The file is offered as webpages or as a downloadable .pdf file.
