What do you do at UNK?

I am a professor with research interests that include science communication, ecosystem ecology, and riparian and wetland ecology. I share an appointment in the Communication and Biology departments at UNK, where I lead projects focused on using time-lapse imagery to understand landscape change and translate scientific research to public audiences. I also teach multimedia courses and mentor students on projects that combine research and public communication about natural resource topics.

Why choose Communication at UNK?

Whether as a major or for select courses to complement another degree program, Communication at UNK provides students with opportunities to learn how to convey information in ways that are understandable and accessible to diverse audiences. No matter what career path a student takes, having skills to communicate effectively will serve them throughout their lives.
