Biography

Franziska Brech teaches flute, chamber music, music appreciation, and German at the University of Nebraska – Kearney. She holds degrees from the Robert-Schumann Hochschule, Düsseldorf, Germany, The Benedikt School, Munich, Germany, and the University of Nebraska – Omaha. She has performed and taught in Europe and the United States. She is the director of the UNK flute choir and a founding member of the Trans-Nebraska Players, a chamber music group that has toured many US states, Canada and England. Since 2010, Franziska Brech is a contributing author for the German flute magazine Flöte aktuell. Until 2019, she was a member of the Kearney Symphony Orchestra.
