Background
Dave Barker is an Assistant Professor in the Educational Administration department. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, his master’s degree from UNK, and an Ed.D. from the University of Wyoming.
His background is in K-12 education, first as a mathematics teacher and coach, before moving into administration as a high school principal and then superintendent. After 17 years as a superintendent in Wyoming, he took a position as an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of South Dakota, where he has served for the past three years.
Dave and his wife Marci currently live in Grand Island and enjoy following 9 grandchildren in their activities, camping, sports of all kinds, and house renovations.
