Vincent Smail's journey to becoming a teacher was not easy, but it was worth it. After a journey through five different higher educational institutions, Vincent now finds himself crossing the commencement stage at UNK with a master's in Curriculum and Instruction and a teaching certificate through UNK's Transitional Certification Program. Fourteen years after his high school graduation, he is back at Lincoln fulfilling his true calling as a high school business teacher.

Upcoming graduate Kelcie Burke did not expect a master's degree to be in her future. Encouraged by her mentor, Dr. Marisa Macy, she discovered the flexibility and support of UNK's online program, allowing her to excel in her studies.
