My interests: I have always loved to ride horses, write, and travel. My favorite place to be is somewhere I’ve never been before. I love that UNK provides opportunities for students to do just that!
Why UNK? I chose UNK because it provided a community and the comfort of being close to home but being far enough away, I got to try something different. UNK brought the comfort of having my home away from home.
My Advice to Students: Follow the things you’ve been dreaming about. Life is full of constant what ifs, but you’ll never be disappointed when you follow something you love. When you follow what you love, the path to making a dream a reality gets closer and closer. It’s not just the future, it’s the now. When you apply yourself, those efforts pay off. Don’t be afraid to branch out and expand your dreams. What ifs are temporary, what never is is permanent.
Favorite thing about the campus: I love how much of a home feeling you get here. From your first day to your last you get community. There are so many activities and people, but it’s also the center of Nebraska so it’s great to for commuting and traveling wherever you want to go, but Kearney offered me a place to come home to!
