Education: I have my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Why I love the University of Nebraska at Kearney: There are many reasons I love UNK and one huge reason is because it is full of opportunities. UNK offers many different organizations for students to be involved in and grow as leaders. I was also able to meet many great people through different student organizations around campus and also build a relationship with staff/faculty. The opportunities do not stop as a student but continue after graduation and I am proud to say I chose to transfer to UNK!
Why I love the Kearney community: The Kearney community has a great relationship with UNK and that's what I love about Kearney. There are many places around this area that support students especially when it comes to employment and working around student schedules. The Kearney Family YMCA was able to work around my student schedule when I worked there during my undergraduate career.
Hobbies/Interests: I love going to the gym and being active! I also love to watch many different sports, but my favorite is basketball season!
Favorite place on campus: My favorite spot on campus is the Wellness Center. I spend most of my time there to focus on myself mentally and physically. I also meet people who strive for the same goal in many different ways.
Favorite Restaurant in Kearney: My favorite restaurant in Kearney is El Maguey. This restaurant offers a variety of Mexican dishes and my favorite are the fajitas.
What I recommend doing while in Kearney: Kearney has many beautiful parks to visit. Yanney Park offers a lake with boat rentals along with running/walking trials.
