OneDrive gives you access to all your files, including the files that people share with you. OneDrive provides a consistent, intuitive files experience across all your devices. If you are working on a file by yourself, save it to OneDrive. Your OneDrive files are private unless you share them with others.
If multiple individuals and teams need to work on documents and products at the same time, then, SharePoint is where you should save your files. SharePoint is shared storage and is public to your team.
