Kearney Regional Medical Center, summer 2020

“Before this internship, I knew I wanted to have a career in the business side of healthcare.  I had not really considered a career in human resources.  Now that I have been exposed to the human resources field, I think it is a good fit for me.  My career goals now include working in an HR position in the healthcare industry.”

Hausmann Construction, summer 2020

“As I entered my academic internship, I was unsure whether or not I wanted to pursue the project management or superintendent route of a career.  During my academic internship, I worked closely with three superintendents, and because of that exposure, I now lean heavily towards a superintendent role.  I have built relationships with multiple subcontractors at multiple companies, and I have been able to learn a little about every subcontractor on site. This internship exposed me to years’ worth of information, and I hope to be able to continue to grow my knowledge before graduation and after.”

Wilkins ADP, summer 2020

“I learned a lot from this internship, and it has helped me feel confident in going into my senior year and then post-graduation.  I feel confident interpreting plans, identifying materials and finishes, and using technology and software that is used in the design process.  My communication skills have also become stronger.  Overall, I learned a lot this summer and feel a lot more confident about the process of commercial design and what goes into it.”

Farmers and Merchants Bank, summer 2020

”The internship was a great experience, helping me understand the business side of agriculture.  Being able to view multiple financials for ag operations has helped prepare me for a future in agribusiness.  With my farming background and now my experience in the financial side of agriculture, I feel that I am prepared for almost any job in ag business.  I will be able to understand future customers and the situations they are in.”
