Finance Professor Dr. Karl Borden was awarded the Distinguished Service Award during the fall convocation ceremony. A faculty senator in 2018, Dr. Borden has served on the Professional Conduct Committee the past five years and Grievance Committee the past two.

Borden was also recently notified that two articles in which he was either primary author or co-author are due to be published in two different journals.

Borden's article titled "A Self-Directed Learning and Demonstration Test Approach to Spreadsheet Skill Development" will be published in the Summer 2020 edition of Advances in Financial Education.

In cooperation with UNK Accounting Professor Dr. Steve Hall, their article "Storytelling to Enhance Retention of Concepts in Finance" will be published in the Spring 2020 edition of the Journal of Financial Education.

Congratulations to both faculty on these achievements!
