Communications and Recruitment Specialist

Posted: January 1, 2020 12:00:00 AM CST

The College of Business and Technology has a reputation for innovation, so it is no surprise that a new position has been created specific to centralizing communication and recruitment across CBT. My name is Erin Pearson, a proud UNK alum, and I am excited to have begun my new career with CBT in a role that has been uniquely designed with the student in mind.

Within these first few weeks I have had the privilege of meeting many of you who may or may not have known me before January 2020. I began my professional career at UNK as the Assistant Registrar for Transfer Systems, and before transitioning into CBT, I was asked to stay on as Interim University Registrar while a national search was conducted.

In addition to my expertise in transfer articulation, I have a strong background in marketing, social media, creative writing, and I am a published author. Coupled with a strong desire to promote all that UNK has to offer to prospective students, I bring a network of contacts across the state. I am confident that my work will directly impact the University that I love and the students who are everything that CBT is about.

My responsibilities will include the CBT Difference newsletter, all social media outlets, promoting events and opportunities for both students and the surrounding community, coordinating student visits (large and small) both at UNK and in Nebraska high schools, managing the CBT Ambassador program and the Living/Learning community for CBT to name just a few.

My office is 135C so please stop by and introduce yourself! I look forward to helping CBT move into the next phase of what coordinated college-level communications and recruiting can look like, and develop a story and voice that is unique to our college.

Go Lopers!
