Featured CBT Student Internships, October

Rusty Mermsmeyer interning at Long Agronomics in MindenRusty Hermsmeyer, UNK senior in Agribusiness from Scotia, NE, learned an enormous amount about agronomy during his summer internship at Long Agronomics in Minden. Working long hours during the growing season, Rusty gained experience in field scouting, including weed and disease identification, plant health, and chemical prescription, as well as customer service and reporting. Rusty will graduate in May 2020 and valued the internship experience as he will be able to use all of the knowledge gained in some way, no matter what field he chooses.

 

Thomas Russell interning at Five NinesThomas Russell, UNK senior in Information Technology from Omaha, NE, participated in the CBT Internship Program with a summer internship at Five Nines in Omaha and said this valuable experience, “opened the door” to his future. Thomas served as an engineering intern for the IT service company, answering tickets in the office and in the field, as well as mastering new systems. Thomas plans to continue working for Five Nines in their Kearney location during his last two semesters at UNK.
