How to Reach Your Resolution

happy new year text imageNo matter how determined we are, our resolutions from January are typically forgotten by March. And in many cases, the decision to make the change was almost as challenging as trying to achieve it, especially with a major goal like going back to school. Although there are always reasons to push this resolution aside, there’s also a way to balance it with everything else in your life in 2019—an online program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

So what does it take to actually fulfill a resolution, whether educational or otherwise? At UNK eCampus, we think it takes dedication on your part and a strong support system from those around you—your family and your university—helping you to stay accountable and motivated to move forward in what we all know you can achieve.

Here are some ways UNK makes your degree more attainable:

  1. Accessibility – You can access course material online from any location with an internet connection. This means you can earn entire bachelor’s or master’s degrees, minors, certificates, or endorsements from an accredited university no matter where you are.
  2. Flexibility and Convenience – UNK’s online courses have specific start dates, end dates, and assignment deadlines, but the time you study is completely based on your schedule—during your lunch break, on the bus, waiting for an appointment, or after your kids have gone to bed. Any time you have, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is an option for when you can work on your degree.
  3. Connection – You will communicate and collaborate using the latest educational technology that allows you to connect with classmates and faculty. An online program at UNK means that you are not alone in your education—you learn alongside those with similar goals and interests as you move forward together.
  4. Student Support – There are many campus services and resources at UNK that are also accessible to online students. Not only do they help you succeed in online courses and your degree program, but they also support you before and after your time at UNK—from assessing what it takes to be an online learner to tips for your next career move after graduation.
  5. Community – As an online student, you are part of the UNK family, even if you never set foot on campus in Kearney, Nebraska. Many online program graduates have expressed that they felt a sense of community, whether in their experience with other online students, faculty, or the many support staff who demonstrated every day that students come first at UNK.

The year may be filling up quickly for you, but don’t let anything hold you back from adding education to your goals for 2019. Whether you decide to enroll now for Spring 2019 semester, which starts January 7, or you just need some information, eCampus is here to guide you every step of the way.
