Discovery Hall - CBT STEM Programs have a new home

The newly named Discovery Hall will become the home for the technology programs from CBT beginning in the Fall of 2020.

CBT Dean Tim Jares describes the building as "open and airy, with impressive views of campus." This new space will provide more adequate and state of the art technologies for our programs who are moving out of Otto Olsen, which is due to be demolished potentially as early as Spring 2021. One of these technologies, the Multitaction Wall (10 55-60 inch TV's) will be part of the UNMC statewide network allowing UNK students and faculty to interact with others in that network in real-time scenarios.

Dr. Jares is looking forward to the myriad opportunities this places within reach for our students and faculty, stating "combined with the improvements we have planned for West Center, there will be ample space for students to spend their entire days - class, meals, study - on the west side of campus."
