Brewed Awakening is the only student-operated business on the UNK campus? This coffee shop is located in the College of Business and Technology.
Students are hired and paid to work in the shop, manage the shop and catering service. The business is over-seen by a volunteer board of directors fully comprised of UNK students.
The shop focuses on supporting local business by sourcing all of the products from local vendors and suppliers including Daylight Donuts, Eileen's Cookies, HyVee, Cash-Wa, Canyon Coffee and they even have a specialty blend of Brewed Awakening Coffee roasted locally by Calico Coffee Company.
