TRI-CITY AREA ECONOMIC FORUM

The fourth annual forum will take place on Friday, October 11 th in Hastings, NE. This event has become very popular for business professionals in the area. University experts present data about the region that can be useful when making important business and economic decisions. UNK's College of Business and Technology partners with the Economic Development Councils from Kearney, Hastings and Grand Island each year.
This year’s event will kick off with a keynote address from Ron Drake, author and host of “Flip this Town.” Dr. Bree Dority of UNK along with UNL’s Dr. Eric Thompson and Dr. Mitch Herlan will present the Nebraska Thriving Index. Results will be shared from a two-year study on community, employment and living preferences for area students aged 19-25. The event will conclude with a live podcast episode of “Flip this Town” hosted by Ron Drake with local guests, Amos Anson of Grand Island, Megan Arrington-Williams of Hastings and Patrick Moore of Kearney.
