Featured CBT Student Internships, September

Jeffrey West, UNK senior in Accounting from Elm Creek, NE completed a summer internship with Lutz in Grand Island. Jeff worked in both the audit and tax divisions, having the opportunity to be involved with field work at the client location. He worked on tax returns, tax audits, and depreciation special projects. He believes internships are extremely important and beneficial leading to future opportunities for him including additional internship experiences and full-time career opportunities.

Miriam Ortiz Lopez, UNK senior in Supply Chain Management from Crete, NE, completed a summer internship at Bayer Crop Science in Kearney. Working in the area of logistics and distribution of seed, Miriam not only learned an enormous amount about the seed production industry that is a vital component of Nebraska agriculture, but she also gained an understanding of how a global company distributes product worldwide.  She found the internship to be very valuable as it helped her come out of her comfort zone.
