Manage vocational programs in schools

Secondary schools often create career institutes or vocational programs to help students identify occupational interests and gain workforce experience within medical fields, agriculture, business, technology, manufacturing and many other disciplines. Educators are needed who are endorsed to coordinate and manage these work-based cooperative programs and serve as a liaison between schools and industry. Through this online endorsement program, you will qualify to lead students toward the development of career competencies, furthering their understanding and abilities in bringing workplace experience into the classroom.

The program requires 3 credit hours of coursework and 1,000 hours of verified work experience other than teaching to earn a work-based learning supplemental endorsement in Nebraska. Students pursuing certification in other states must check with their State Department of Education for certification requirements. This endorsement is offered at both the undergraduate and graduate level based on your current education and credentials.
