Session Information

Mondo Method

Mondo method is a way of using neuroscience to understand our stress, behaviors, motivations, and interactions to bring about tangible change. Educators from any context will learn the basics about the neuroscience of student behavior, teacher stress, student motivation and engagement, and classroom environment to better understand why students behave the ways they do and better be able to use effective strategies to respond to each situation. Teachers will learn how stress impacts classroom environment and behavior, along with strategies to co-regulate students and create meaningful, enjoyable, and supportive learning environments, even within the most challenging contexts. With a decade of experience navigating teacher stress and student behavior and motivation challenges in the classroom successfully, Dr. Alexa Yunes-Koch provides practical, useful, hands-on strategies and knowledge that teachers repeatedly say has completely changed the way they think about student behavior.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and utilize strategies for children and adults to cope with stressors.
  • Choose and utilize strategies to change children’s challenging behaviors.
  • Describe and plan for strategies that create positive learning environments.
