Discover the "APE's" of West Campus

Come hang out with the "APEs" of Discovery Hall: Astronomy, Physics and Engineering!

This fun and interactive camp will have students engaging with real-world, hands-on engineering challenges and give them a close-up look at the principles of physics that form the underpinnings of the universe.
Students will learn how physics and engineering are connected to the world around them AND how they are connected to the sun, moon, and stars (astronomy and astrophysics!).

Hosted by the UNK Department of Physics and Astronomy, and the Engineering Foundations program.

This camp is for girls entering kindergarten through fifth grades. We will use lowered hoops for this camp and the purpose of the two days is to teach fundamental skills, develop basic knowledge of the game, and to have fun. Campers will be divided according to grade and skill level for all contests, games, and teaching situations.

This camp is for girls entering 9th through 12th grades. Coach Eighmey and staff will provide a thorough training experience that focuses on the skills and habits that result in smart and efficient basketball. Individual offensive and defensive skills will be taught and then progressed into 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 breakdowns.

This camp is for girls entering 6th through 8th grades. It is for players who are just beginning and for those who are ready to move on to the next level. Health Science Explorers

This camp offers an exciting day of learning about health sciences and careers in healthcare. You will learn about topics and issues relating to healthcare, anatomy, physiology, wellness, mental and behavioral health, and other health-related topics. During the day, you will also experience hands-on activities, engage in simulations and case studies, and participate in interactive sessions all designed to increase your awareness of healthcare professions. This camp will also be an opportunity to hear directly from healthcare professionals in a variety of fields and learn more about Health Sciences at UNK. If you are interested in a career in healthcare, this is a great opportunity.

Summer Soccer Camp

UNK Summer Soccer Camp is designed for players to get to train with college players and coaches for 4 days. This camp will focus on player development in areas of technical work, technique, and competition. This camp will be offered as an overnight camp or commuter camp (if a commuter, cost is $100 less). First day of camp will be checking into camp and your room if you are a residential camper, as well as an evening session and dinner. Second and third day of camp will include 3 training sessions with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The final day of camp will include a morning session, brunch and camp awards. We will be having players and coaches from our program as well as some surprise counselors working the camp this year. This is an opportunity to grow as a player with coaches and players from all levels.

This camp is designed for the intermediate to advanced player who wants intensive training in either Setting, Hitting, or Defense. Campers choose a position and receive intense training on basic through advanced techniques in their chosen specialty. At the end of each session the Setters, Hitters, and Liberos will be put together to implement the skills they have trained during those sessions. Serving, passing and blocking will be covered as well.

Directed by UNK Head Coach Rick Squiers, the Volleykidz day camp is designed to introduce volleyball basics utilizing age appropriate methods that are both fun and educational. Campers will learn passing, setting, serving, and spiking through the use of modified equipment and techniques to help them get a head start in one of the world's most popular sports.
