CPT Jonathan Policky

Biography

CPT Policky attended ROTC at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was commissioned into the US Army Military Police Corps on 07 May 2016.  He is qualified as a 31A (Military Police Officer) and 90A (Logistics Officer).

MILITARY AND CIVILIAN EDUCATION:  CPT Policky earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He is a graduate of the Military Police Officer Basic Course, Ft. Leonard Wood MO, Anti-Terrorism Basic and Advanced Course, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and Logistics Captains Career Course, Ft. Lee, VA.

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS: After commissioning in 2016 CPT Policky’s first assignment was as the Vulnerability Assessment Officer for the 67th MEB.  From December of 2016 until January of 2019 CPT Policky was the OIC for the Joint Operations Center in Nebraska as a technician.  In 2017 he was assigned as the 3rd Platoon Leader for the 1057thMilitary Police Company, DET 2, Grand Island, NE.  CPT Policky mobilized in 2017 in support of the response to the Hurricanes in the Virgin Islands and was assigned as the Battle Captain and S1 OIC.  In 2018 he was nominated to go with the 67th MEB to conduct a Warfighter exercise as the S1 OIC.  Following this assignment, CPT Policky was selected as the 734th CSSB S1 OIC where he has been since 2019 and is currently deployed in support of Operation Freedoms Sentinel and Operation Allies Refuge.

AWARDS AND DECORATIONS: CPT Policky’s military awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/M-Device, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Nebraska National Guard Emergency Service Medal, Virgin Islands National Guard Emergency Service Medal, German Armed Forces Badge (Gold), and the Norwegian Foot March Badge (Bronze).

CPT Policky currently resides in Kearney, NE with his wife Lexi. Lexi is a 2nd Grade Teacher at Windy Hills Elementary in Kearney, NE.  They have a son, Walker Jon Policky, who is one year old.  Upon his return from deployment, CPT Policky will be moving AGR positions from the 734th CSSB S1 OIC, to the Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
