About the Computer Science Degree Program

On Campus

Students in the Computer Science degree program learn to leverage computer science with advanced problem solving techniques to develop innovative software solutions. UNK's Cyber Systems Department is the right place for students who want to personalize their educational experience, implementing and leading their own projects under the direction of experienced faculty members in an ABET accredited program.

Computer Science students have the opportunity to compete in regional competitions such as hacking, programming and robotics. In the past five years, UNK has taken first place in regional competitions in both hacking and robotics.

The Computer Science Comprehensive major is a fully contained technology program and does not require a minor.
