Management of Depression and Anxiety in Individuals with Aphasia by SLPs

The project, Management of Depression and Anxiety in Patients with Aphasia, is a qualitative study being conducted under Dr. Ladan Ghazi Saidi’s direction with assistance from Charlotte Griffith, an undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska Kearney, with special thanks to Mariah Gentz, a graduate assistant in the department of communication disorders. This project seeks to understand what speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in the United States are doing, what they could be doing, and what they are not doing to assist patients with aphasia (language disorder caused by traumatic brain injuries and strokes) who have symptoms of depression or anxiety.
