To support and encourage nominations and applications for the departmental and individual faculty teaching awards, the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs provides the following UNK Teaching Awards to the individuals and departments at UNK chosen to compete in the University-wide award competitions.
UNK Creative Teaching Awards
Up to four UNK faculty will be selected by the UNK Screening Committee to compete in the University-wide pool for the two $10,000 Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity Awards (OTICA). Upon selection by the UNK Screening Committee, $500 accounts will be established for each of the faculty members to be used by them individually for travel, equipment, or other expenses related to their teaching and development as faculty members.

UNK Innovation, Development, and Engagement Award
Up to three UNK faculty will be selected by the UNK Screening Committee to compete in the University-wide pool for the two $10,000 Innovation, Development, and Engagement Awards (IDEA). Upon selection by the UNK Screening Committee, $500 accounts will be established for each of the faculty members to be used by them individually for travel, equipment, or other expenses related to their teaching and development as faculty members.

UNK Departmental Teaching Awards
Up to two UNK departments will be selected by the UNK Screening Committee to compete in the University-wide pool for the $25,000 University-wide Departmental Teaching Award. Upon selection by the UNK Screening Committee, $2000 accounts will be established for each department to be used for travel, equipment, or other expenses related to that department's activities in their dedication to the education of students.
