Email Setup on Mobile Devices

Select the device below that you want to setup your email for


**Every Android device may be slightly different based on Model and Android version, this tutorial may not exactly replicate what may be showing on your device but should resemble it very closely**

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Under the Accounts section, click Add Account.
  3. Select either Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync or Corporate Sync (varies by phone)
  4. Type your full e-mail address (ex. and your EASI password, then select Next
  5. Select Exchange account. (Note: This option may be named Exchange Activesync on some versions of Android)
  6. Enter the following account information and select Next
    • Domain\Username: Type your full email address
    • *(Note: If Domain and Username are separate text boxes, leave the Domain box empty)
    • Password: Type your EASI password
    • Exchange Server:
  7. You will get a message that states " will need to remotely control...etc", Click Next or Activate.
  8. As soon as your phone verifies the server settings, the Account Options screen displays. The options may include the following: Email checking frequency, Amount to synchronize, Notify me when mail arrives and Sync contacts from this account.
  9. Select Next and then type a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send email to others. Select Done to complete the email setup and start using your account.


  1. To set up mail on your Apple device, go to Settings.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Add Account
  4. Select Exchange account.
  5. When prompted enter the following information:
    • Email: (ex.
    • Password: Enter your EASI / Outlook password
    • Description: Anything you want (LoperMail, UNK Email, etc.)
  6. Click Next(*it may say that the account wasn’t verified, that is ok, select Continue*)
    • Server:
    • Domain: ~Leave Blank~
    • Username: Full Email Address (ex.
  7. Click Next again
  8. Select which information you would like to sync to your device and click Save

Your account has now been added to your device.

Windows Phone (8 or 8.1)

  1. Go to your phone Settings
  2. Select Email+Accounts
  3. Select Add Account
  4. Select Exchange Account
    • Enter your full email address and password, click sign in
  5. The sign in will fail, you will then be taken to a new page.
    • Enter your full email address in the username textbox
    • Leave the domain textbox blank
    • Click sign in
  6. The sign in will fail again, click Advanced on the pop up.
  7. Enter for the Server address.
  8. Click sign in and your account should now start syncing.

Outlook 2013 (Windows)

  1. Open your Outlook Client. **If this is the first time you have opened Outlook skip to step 4.
  2. Select File in the upper left corner.
  3. Under Info select the Add Account icon.
  4. The E-mail account should be selected by default. Enter the following information:
    • Your Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear
    • E-mail Address:
    • Password: Enter your EASI / Email / Blackboard password
    • Retype Password: Confirm and retype your password
    • Click Next
  5. A Windows security box will pop up asking you to verify and authenticate your account.
    • Enter your full UNK email address ****
    • Enter your EASI / Email / Blackboard password
    • Check the "Remember my credentials" box if you don't want to enter your password every time.
    • Outlook will then search for and log into the mail server. If successful you will get a message saying it was configured and ready to use.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. Outlook will proceed to open and start syncing.
    • **The first time it may take a few minutes for Outlook to sync all the emails, contacts, folders, and calendars from the server.**

Outlook 2011 (Mac)

First time opening Outlook Client start here
  1. Make sure to check the box that selects Outlook as your default email option.
  2. Choose Add Account and then select an Exchange Account
  3. Proceed to the Account Setup information below to continue.
Have previously opened Outlook Client start here
  1. Open Outlook 2011
  2. Click Outlook in the top left corner and select Preferences
  3. Under personal settings, select Accounts
  4. Click the + button in the bottom left corner of window and select Exchange
  5. Proceed to the Account Setup information below to continue.
Account Setup Information
  1. Enter the following information below:
    • Email Address: Full UNK Email Address
    • Method: Username and Password
    • Username: Full UNK Email Address
    • Password: EASI / Email / Blackboard password
    • **You can try configuring automatically. If that doesn't work, uncheck the box and enter the server below**
    • Server:
  2. Your account should authenticate and a window will pop up asking you to allow the connection. You can also check the box that say's to always remember this decision.
  3. After the connection is made you should notice a green circle next to your account. You can close out of the window and your emails should start populating.
