Undergraduate Applicants

In order to receive financial aid, you must be fully admitted and enrolled at UNK.  If you have yet to apply to UNK and would like to, follow this link.  Once you are admitted we highly encourage you to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible after October 1, 2018 if you plan to attend UNK for the 2019-2020 academic year.  You, and your parent when applicable, are required to create a FSA ID in order to sign the application electronically.  There is a link to create the FSA ID on the FAFSA sign-in page, or you may visit http://fsaid.ed.gov.  The information on the FAFSA is needed to calculate the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) which is used by UNK to determine your financial aid award.

All first year applicants who apply for admission to UNK will be evaluated for certain scholarship eligibility based on information included in the admissions application. We will notify scholarship recipients of their awards shortly after they have been admitted to the University.

Financial aid is a broad term that is used to refer to several types and categories of financial aid.
