Program Overview

The University of Nebraska at Kearney offers the ability to undergo a six-week summer program in Valladolid, Spain. Students will attend the Universitas Castellae and immerse themselves into the Spanish culture.

Location and Housing:

  • Universitas Castellae - Valladolid, Spain
  • Students will be housed with a host family.
    • 3 meals per day are included.

Dates:

  • Summer Semester: July - 2nd Friday in August (estimation).

Cost: $4235

  • Includes:
    • $250 application fee (due at application deadline)
    • $400 security deposit
    • $3585 program fee
  • Financial Aid

  • Spanish Literature
  • History of Spain
  • Conversation (two-levels)
  • Spanish Culture

Credit Transfer:

Transcripts will be sent directly to UNK for credit transfer as elective credit hours if a grade of C or higher is received.  These credits will apply toward the total needed for graduation.

  • Security Deposit and Application Fee are non-refundable unless the program is canceled.

Deadline:

  • 2nd Friday in February.

Eligibility:

  • This program is open to all UNK students with a 2.5 GPA or higher.
  • Language Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed one year of Spanish at UNK or the equivalent.
