The work of renowned Mexican Artist Hector Quintanar Pérez, showcased in his latest collection, “All Sun Between Shadows,” fosters dialogue among students of diverse backgrounds and contributes to building empathy and understanding of the shared experiences of Afro-Mexican people. This program aims to initiate crucial conversations on the intersection of light and darkness and delve into themes of identity, migration, and societal change, making them pertinent to local and global issues. Through his lens, the artist reveals Mexican culture, landscapes, and personal stories that speak to universal human connections. The exhibition will be at the UNK Library for 5 days from Nov. 18 to Nov. 22. A reception and presentation by the artist will be Nov. 20, 5-7 p.m.
