The University of Nebraska at Kearney will be closed on Monday, September 6th, 2021 for the Labor Day Holiday.
Please consider donating to the crisis leave program. This program allows any employee who earns vacation leave to donate up to five accumulated vacation days per calendar year. The donated leave goes to a pool of crisis leave hours that are used to help an employee who is experiencing a crisis and does not have sufficient leave to cover their absence period. Allocation of tuition remission credits for the Fall Semester final submission is Friday, September 17, 2021. Allocate credits via Firefly/ESS, under Benefits, click “Employee & Dependent Scholarship”.

As of July 1, 2021 all new hire orientation will be electronic through our new Bridge platform located in Firefly. New hires will receive an email invitation, sent to their UNK emails, to complete this required program. This program covers the University of Nebraska system and reviews UNK specific information (including benefits, campus policies, payroll, compliance, and more).
The Procurement Card Exception Form has now been moved in to eSHOP under Special Forms. This form will no longer be in SAPPHIRE. Contact Procurement Services at 865-8525 if you have any questions.
As the result of a university wide RFP process, The University of Nebraska Board of Regents has approved a new strategic IT hardware supplier. The RFP committee, composed of business, academic and IT representatives from all four university campuses, reviewed the supplier submissions and agreed to move forward with CDW-G as a single supplier for all Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Apple devices, including monitors and accessories. Effective September 1st, all IT hardware purchases will be processed by CDW-G.
