The Event Approval Committee is still accepting plans for upcoming events held on campus. “Event” may include orientations, music/theater events, University sponsored events on and off campus, workshops, conferences, career fairs, banquets and other ceremonies, events hosted by outside groups, special events that bring high school students to campus, or any event that is over 25 people. Informal meetings of 25 people or less are not included as an event that needs to be approved. The committee assumes you structure your meeting with proper social distancing of 6 ft or more and that masks will be worn.
The intent of this committee is to ensure that events on campus are taking current COVID guidelines and restrictions into consideration. Please submit your plans no later than 3 weeks before your event is set to take place. If your event has already been scheduled, please submit your plan as soon as possible. This will allow the committee time to review the plans and work with your group if there are questions or concerns.
Please contact Betsy Warren at warrenbn@unk.edu to acquire the necessary forms for your event.
Plans can be submitted to Betsy Warren at warrenbn@unk.edu.
Facilities has worked with vendors, and is continuously working to obtain COVID related supplies and equipment to help the campus through this challenging time. Facilities has been able to stock the following items that are available for order:
If you are in need of any of the above items, please contact your applicable dean’s office or building supervisor. They will submit a work request, on your behalf, at http://facilities-tma.unk.edu:85/. Based on limited product availability, we cannot guarantee all requests and quantities will be filled. Distribution of supplies, to building supervisor’s and dean’s offices has begun, and will continue every 4 weeks throughout the semester. If you have any questions, or would like to inquire about other types of materials or supplies, please email facilities@unk.edu.
Employees and Departments/Groups of Employees can be nominated for different awards. The awards are presented monthly during the Staff Senate meetings.
