Gene Fendt

Biography

Gene Fendt is the Albertus Magnus Professor of Philosophy at UNK. All of his major publications have come directly out of his regular course teaching, including books on Republic, Hamlet, Kant’s religious and ethical philosophy, and Aristotelian aesthetics.  Most of his articles—on works of Augustine, Anselm, Kierkegaard, and some contemporary issues in philosophy of literature also have arisen out of class preparation and discussions. Dr. Fendt is also an award-winning poet and playwright.
